<Back to 2018 Summit Series

GLHC is excited to bring the 2018 Summit Series to the Lansing area.

This half day Seminar event will be interactive, educational, and will demonstrate why technology is part of the solution to providing the best care possible.

Since 2010, the American health care system has been engaged in an effort to examine and fundamentally change the way we deliver, experience, and finance care. There is little doubt at this point that the process of transforming care is a marathon; each mile is a success to celebrate and to inspire us forward.

The theme of GLHC’s 2018 Summit Series, “Maintaining Momentum in Care Transformation” acknowledges the reality of change and progress that the healthcare community has made. It also focuses us on staying vigilant to how we can continue to make progress toward achieving a fully sustainable and integrated healthcare ecosystem.

Who should attend:

Health and social service professionals, as well as community leaders, interested in using technology to better coordinate patient care, enhance care delivery, improve staff workflow, and reduce the cost of healthcare across the care continuum.

This event is an opportunity to network with fellow health professionals in the area and to discuss ways that the community can collaborate and leverage GLHC services and expertise.

This event is open to the public and free of charge. RSVP is required.

Bryan Bulock and Mary Graham, GLHC Implementation Consultants

How do you find out what is going on “out there”?

The Community Health Record is a vital resource for accessing clinical information on care that occurs “out there” (not in your practice/organization) In this presentation, Bryan Bulock and Mary Graham will review and demonstrate the application.  We’ll also hear from different provider organizations in the community on how they use it.

Referral Application Upgrade: Bridging the gaps in coordination of patient care
Bryan Bulock and Carrie Strom, GLHC Implementation Consultants

The GLHC Referral Application offers healthcare organizations and providers a secure system for sending and receiving referrals throughout Michigan.  In the nearly eight years since first use, minor changes and improvements have been made. In 2018, a major upgrade is being released. The upgrade transforms the tool into a web based application with a modern user interface and intuitive tools that provide transparency throughout the referral process. Learn about the upgrade and about how one Michigan community is using it to transform healthcare and integrate social and medical services.
