What’s happening at Great Lakes Health Connect is the building of relationships, creation of connections, and growth of health information exchange across the State of Michigan. These relationship, connections, and growth make us very proud and we want to share the news, conversations, and announcements with you. GLHC is striving to get the right data to the right people at the right place and time. This is no small feat, but we are up for the challenge; we know that our success will positively impact public health. There are many ways to tell these stories:

  • The Interface is a monthly newsletter sent directly to you inbox. The newsletter provides you with the inside scoop on what’s happening at GLHC. Find news releases, blog posts, announcements, and more all in one place.

  • Weekly Referral Update Email – New offices and organizations are joining the Referral Network every week. This weekly email lists the new offices/organization, shares special notes about the application, and explains a best practice or workflow tip. It is sent out every Tuesday.

  • The Exchange is a blog written by the GLHC staff. As the name suggests, The Exchange is a virtual space for information sharing, engagement, and learning around issues that impact all aspects of healthcare and technology.
  • The Connection is a daily digest or summary of news and information from the intersection of healthcare and technology.  These articles, videos, or blog posts are collected from around the web. You can read The Connection on our website or on Twitter.

  • Attention Referral Administrators!

The Referral Homepage Setup User Guide was recently updated! Each office using the Referrals Application is able to personalize their Homepage. The Homepage is similar to a fax sheet that is filled out by the referring office when making a referral. Because the needs of every office are unique, personalized Homepages eliminate pain points on both sides of the referral process. More Referral User Guides are available.
